Any names or data you enter are used solely for the purpose of calculating expense splits and are stored securely. We do not link this data to your real-world identity.
2. Zero Liability (The "Use at Your Own Risk" Clause)
IMPORTANT: SplitExpenses is a mathematical tool provided "AS IS".
By using this site, you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for any financial disputes, broken friendships, incorrect calculations, or monetary losses that may arise from using our tool.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all calculations before making any payments. We do not handle money, process transactions, or act as a financial intermediary.
3. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
SplitExpenses is operated from Canada. strictly adhering to Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA).
By using this website, you agree that any legal disputes or claims arising from your use of this service shall be governed by the laws of Canada and adjudicated exclusively in the courts of Canada.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Because we don't collect emails, we cannot look up your data to delete it manually. However, since we don't collect personal identifiers, your privacy remains protected.
We reserve the right to wipe old data (inactive splits) from our database periodically to maintain performance, without notice.
